Old computers & tech' blow your mind with the prices...

During the week I was pointed to a web site that showed a bunch of old computer ad's.

I was blown away by the prices of some of this gear and horrified by the fact that I'd actually forked over cash for some of it.

Look at this modem example. Look at the size of the modem. It is monstrous. These days you are lucky if you can even see your modem (especially those built into mobile phones).

What about the "sexy" claims. The is a very long bow to draw. At least the model's attire has come back into fashion.

If you don't feel lucky about where you are on the data for dollars curve I suggest you take a thorough look at this web site.

My only wish is that I could go back in time with the storage and memory capacity I have now and sell it at yee-oldie prices. I'd be a bazillionaire!

Doing the math, using the hard disk pricing shown, and on the storage available in my mobile phone only, it would be worth $2,718,400.00.

That is worth jumping into the Delorean and going for a spin I'd say!

Using my current computer's hard disk as a starting point, I am sitting on $200,142,200.00 worth of storage.

I feeling quite wealthy all of a sudden :-)
