It
seems that almost since the dawn of computers with keyboards like
typewriters that there have been shortcuts to make life easier.
It makes me wonder if there just isn't a better way to start with?
In fact, I know there is, but that is not the point of this article.
This article is about doing more, faster, better with what you've got.
It is a bit like The Six Million Dollar Man or Bionic Woman.
P.S.
I could never work out why his Bionic arm just would rip out of the
normal human socket whenever he lifted a truck? I think the answer is "it's just a TV show David!"

The General Shortcuts
- CTRL+C (Copy)
- CTRL+X (Cut)
- CTRL+V (Paste)
- CTRL+Z (Undo)
- CTRL+RIGHT ARROW (Move the insertion point to the beginning of the next word)
- CTRL+LEFT ARROW (Move the insertion point to the beginning of the previous word)
- CTRL+DOWN ARROW (Move the insertion point to the beginning of the next paragraph)
- CTRL+UP ARROW (Move the insertion point to the beginning of the previous paragraph)
- CTRL+SHIFT with any of the arrow keys (Highlight a block of text)
- CTRL+A (Select all)
- SHIFT when you insert a CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive (Prevent the CD-ROM from automatically playing)
- CTRL+PRTSCN Copies currently displayed screen to clipboard (then CTRL-V inside your favourite graphic editing program or email etc.)
- ALT+PRTSCN Copies currently active program image to clipboard
- CTRL+P (Print the current page or active pane)
- Windows Logo (Display or hide the Start menu)
- Windows Logo+ L (Lock the keyboard)
